It’s that time of year again, and the Bay Area Maker Faire as well as the Vancouver Mini Maker Faire I’m exhibiting at both. First up is BAMF (May 16-17) where I’ll be exhibiting for the first time. Last year they had 130K visitors (!!) which is 2 orders of magnitude bigger than the VMMF (June 6-7) where I’ll be participating for the 5th (?) time.
Even if you don’t come to see me, you should find a Faire near you and go. Traditional crafts (hi!) rub shoulders with the latest in laser cutters and 3D printers and everything in between. The enthusiasm, creativity, and inspiration at these places is just astonishing. From the big tech companies to small children (Junior, who is 11, will have a booth at the VMMF) showing what they’ve created, these things are just … fecund, and you will love them!
