World Knot Tying Day

Apparently today is World Knot Tying Day. Self-declared as it were and not recognized by any (inter)national body as these things usually are. I "heard" about it from Mabel which lead to (I'm assuming the instigators) IGKT Solent (I always read that as Soylent...), which apparently leads to Facebook (just say "No!").

I'm too deep in my festive winter holiday prep to do something knotty right now (having only heard about it today), but I will note this date for next year.

Edit: "They" realized that trying to insert an event into peoples' calendars so close to the main festive season was not helpful, so they've changed the event from Clifford Ashley's birthday, December 18, to the less fun but chronologically more convenient anniversary of his death, September 18.
